Academic Decathlon

Academic Decathlon (ACADEC) is a 5th period elective class that promotes self-assurance, academic enrichment, and teamwork.
Decathletes are challenged to use analytical skills, performance abilities and writing aptitude in seven knowledge tests (Art, Economics, Literature, Mathematics, Music, Science, and Social Science) as well as interview, Speech, Essay, and Super Quiz.
The ACADEC team consists of at least nine players: Three “honors” players (unweighted GPA 3.8-4.0), three “scholastic” players (unweighted GPA 3:2-3.799), and three “varsity” players (unweighted GPA 2.0-3.199).
