Terrier Mascot

Welcome to The Long Blue Line... est. 1891

Welcome to Terrier athletics where young men and women compete in twenty-three sports with forty-seven teams competing at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman level.  Terrier athletes began establishing a history of CLASS and SUCCESS when the school opened in 1891. They continue to work to establish themselves as one of Southern California's finest athletic programs.

The greatness of athletic teams is in part because of the athletes participating. We know that students participating in sports at the high school level usually get better grades that non-athletic students, have better school attendance, have a higher graduation rate, and have higher self-esteem. They also learn how set goals, develop respect for others, demonstrate class in victory and dignity in defeat.

Participation in athletics at RHS means more than competition between individuals or teams representing different high schools. It teaches fair play and sportsmanship, understanding and appreciation of teamwork. It teaches that to quit means failure, while to work hard means success. The legacy of an athletic program will be measured by more than just the wins and losses that our teams experience.

Participation on an athletic team is a PRIVILEGE that is extended to every student who is eligible under regulations set up by the CIF-Southern Section, Redlands Unified School District, and Redlands High School. With every privilege comes responsibility. The conduct of a Terrier athlete is closely observed by many people. An athlete is a representative of the team, the school, the community, and the thousands of athletes that make up The Long Blue Line. Therefore, it is important that every Terrier athlete be, at all times and in all places, a gentleman or lady.

Redlands High School offers students an opportunity to participate in voluntary interscholastic competition in order that they may experience and acquire the lessons and rewards of team-oriented sports: namely cooperation, sacrifice, striving to achieve group goals and commitment to the team. We also believe a successful athletic program nurtures and fosters good citizens and tomorrow's leaders.

Go Terriers!!!

Scoreboard Sponsors
Redlands High School has two major scoreboards that need sponsors. We have a one year contract for each scoreboard. The first option is our brand new Softball Scoreboard located on our South Campus Grass Fields. The second option is the Track Scoreboard in Dodge Stadium. Both scoreboards are 3' x 16'. Your ad is exclusive to that scoreboard, it will be seen all year, and you will be supporting our athletes! If your business is interested in advertising on our scoreboard please contact Jennifer Classen at 909.307.5500x31110 or at jennifer_classen@redlands.k12.ca.us

RHS Athletics Mission Statement

It is the mission of Redlands High School Athletics to enhance the academic experience of our student/athletes. We will challenge our student/athletes to be the best both on and off the competitive surface. We will model the value of preparation, hard work, team work, and sportsmanship. A Terrier should have a desire to improve and always feel like a success. It is the tradition of a Terrier to be a student first, an athlete second, and always a winner. A Terrier will be proud to be part of the Long Blue Line.
